What is changing?

 

Starting AUG-8-2022 we will automatically charge your credit card in case you have a package going overseas and have insufficient balance to pay the shipping cost.

 

What do I need to do?

 

Have an updated credit card on file.

To add or update your credit card please login to your Hipshipper account click on “Setting” (on the top right) and choose “Billing options”

 

Security & Privacy of your credit card info

 

We do not store your credit card details and only keep the last 4 digits of the card number.

 

Your card info is safely stored by Stripe.com, the world leader in online payment processing, a multi-billion publicly traded company and the choice of millions of businesses in the US and worldwide. They employ the highest levels of security and are considered by many as the industry standard for credit card processing.  

Stripe stores your card info and does not share it with us. They provide us with a unique key that allows us to charge your card without knowing the card details.

Currently:  We receive your package and it is ready to be shipped overseas, but sometimes we cannot ship it because you forgot to load balance to your account and we cannot charge you for the cost of shipping. You want to ship the package, your customer is waiting for the package and we are ready to ship it, but instead of shipping it we need to remove that package from the stream, label it accordingly, store it outside the flow, send you a reminder to add funds, wait, follow-up, process separately, etc.

This is a waste of time and money. Creating inferior experience for your customers and generating unneeded workload and costs.  

 

Starting Aug-8-2022:  We will auto charge you for the cost of shipping in case you do not have balance to pay for shipping the package to your customer. This will eliminate the waste of time and money in current processing flow.

 

 

Additional Q&A

 

I prefer to continue adding funds to my balance myself, can I do that?

Sure! As long as you have sufficient balance the auto-load process will never occur.

We do need a credit card on file to allow for shipping cost payments in case you have insufficient funds.

 

What amount do you charge when you auto-load?

How much will you auto-load each time?

We will only load the missing amount to pay the cost of shipping of the specific package currently being processed, unless you ask us to auto-load a different amount (higher, that will also cover future shipments)

 

I load balance using Payoneer or PayPal, do I have to add a credit card?

Yes, the auto-load process requires having a credit-card on file. PayPal and payoneer are not currently supported.

Please remember that as long as you have sufficient balance the auto-load process will not initiate. The credit card is just a safety measure.
